How to get there?
A private bus will be arranged from Porto to Loural on the 16th of May to accommodate all participants. It will be the cheapest and most convenient way to reach the retreat as it is quite remote. This bus will also drop you back at the airport on the 21st of May, after morning class.
By car: Loural Ecovillage, Aldeia Velha, Colméal, Gois, 3330-072, Portugal
By flight: Porto is the recommended airport but if you arrive at Lisbon airport I will provide further information on how to best reach Loural Ecovillage soon.
Where is the closet airport?
Loural Ecovillage is in the middle of Portugal and the distance from Porto and Lisbon is about the same. But as mentioned, a bus will be arranged from Porto to Loural on the 16th of May and drop you on the 21st of May and it will be the cheapest and most convenient way to reach.
Can I come before or stay after?
The short answer to that question is no, you can’t. Loural Ecovillage is doing workshops all year and sometimes back to back and therefore do not have the possibility of hosting people before and after.
What do I need to bring?
Pack light clothing and a lot of layers. During the morning practice and/or the evenings you might want to have something warm if needed.
Sheets and towels are included in all accommodation options.
Bring your own flute/flutes. The group lessons will be taught with A scale flute. If you do not have A scale flute it will be available both for using during the workshop and for purchase. During individual class you may use whichever flute you prefer.
This has been said about the weather in Portugal in May:
“Spring is a lovely time to visit Portugal, no matter which region you are exploring. You will certainly enjoy the warmer temperatures and abundance of sunshine. Although it may not be full-on beach weather, it certainly won’t be uncomfortable to walk around and sightsee just about anywhere in the country.”

Workshop fee: 650€
This retreat will be limited to 15 participants. Your place is guaranteed when the workshop fee is transferred.

If you cancel your participation more than two months before the retreat you will be refunded 100%. Before one month of the Retreat you will be refunded 50 %. Less than one month before the beginning of the retreat you will not be refunded. In all cases the bank commissions are charged to the participant. Cases of urgent health issues or other cases of force majeure will be considered separately in direct communication with the participant.
The price is per night and includes all taxes, accommodation, 3 vegetarian meals a day, wifi and use of facilities.
